Trevor wrote the book and lyrics for Hong Kong After Midnight: The Disco Disco Musical (music by Amos Wong), which chronicles Gordon Huthart and the legendary gay club he launched in the face of police oppression. Based on firsthand accounts, the musical was showcased at BEAM2025, the UK’s largest showcase of new musicals, where The Stage named it among their top 10 picks of the showcase. The show was then performed Off-Broadway in concert at PRISM, a Festival of New Queer Musicals, directed by Dante Green. Before that, Trevor made his Off-Broadway debut at SoHo Playhouse writing the book and lyrics for The Silver Child (music by Jonja Merck), about a girl escaping her twin brother’s shadow. He also directed and starred in the production.
Trevor also wrote the music and additional lyrics for Manpa: Ten Thousand Waves (book & lyrics by Yunhye Park), an original musical based on Korean folklore. He has additionally adapted English lyrics for the Korean musicals Rimbaud (original Korean book & lyrics by Heekyung Yun; music by Chan Hong Min; translation by Hansol Oh and Yunhye Park), featured at the K-Musical Road Show starring Tony-nominees Taylor Trensch and AJ Shively; and Vanishing (original Korean book & lyrics by Han Jaeeun; music by Joo Mina).
As a solo writer, Trevor wrote the book, music, and lyrics for The Doors We Close, an original fantasy musical about a group racing through a forest to undo their biggest mistakes. The show was workshopped by the American Music Theatre Project in 2022, directed by Jenna Sage. Trevor is currently writing the book, music, and lyrics for Emptying the Nest, an original musical that follows a mother, father, and son packing up their house to move; and Hyacinthus, based on the Greek myth of a Spartan prince’s tragic romance with the god Apollo.
Trevor holds an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch, a BS in Theatre from Northwestern, and is currently a member of the BMI Workshop in New York and the Mercury Musical Developments Writers Lab in the UK. In addition to writing for theatre, Trevor also writes and composes for screen and for video games.
